Damning Evidence is a first-class legal thriller in the tradition of Grisham, Rosenberg and Turow. But the letter is all the more impressive because it provides a timeline that not only makes it clear that Trump is responsible for storming the Capitol, but also that his Jan. 6 speech was the culmination of a campaign to thwart the will of the people and cling to the presidency. But the letter makes it clear that Trump`s warnings to “stop the theft” were only one aspect of a broader attack on democracy. (Trump`s lawyers also suggest that the former president considered the election results “suspicious” because “electoral laws and procedures were changed by local politicians or judges without the necessary approvals from state lawmakers.” What Trump actually said was that the election had been “rigged” and that changes in voting procedures had led to “fraud on an unprecedented scale.” Nicknamed “Chad Powers,” Manning wore a wig, fake mustache, and prosthetics to try Penn State. There are many things on behalf of the managers of the House of Representatives that need to be read carefully by senators. Managers convincingly argue that Trump can be tried even if he has left office, and they refute the objection that his call to his supporters to “fight like hell” was protected by the 1st Amendment or may not be successfully prosecuted as a criminal offense.
